My name is Jack Miller and I am the founder of Pock-IT Apparel. This journey began when I was in my senior year of college, playing football (soccer) in North Carolina as an international student athlete. Within the sport I have played all of my life, running and exercise have been a constant routine and with that, came a constant irritation of having no functional way to carry my phone and other items, especially while running. The armbands were too uncomfortable and itchy, the vests and belts were too bulky and I always knew there had to be a simpler way to carry your essentials.
I had a vision of hands free exercise in the most functional way possible by having built in pockets on the sleeve. The basic concept was created by myself and a college classmate who knew how to sew. A very rough prototype was made and this got the ball rolling for two years straight of trial and testing hundreds of varying prototypes.
The company name Pock-IT Apparel combines the word "Pocket" and "IT" to create POCK-IT. Every pocket built into our activewear is made to carry your technological devices, hence the integration of "IT" (information technology) in our name. The logo is a "P" and an "I" built into a triangle shape with a slick, recognizable design.
I have worked with runners, designers and athletes to bring a product to the market that has earned it’s slogan; “Functionality to a tee”.
